Welcome to the Help Centre for clients

Introduction

A warm welcome to our Help Centre. Here you’ll find answers to many questions about working with us – covering software solutions, e-invoicing and specialist topics relating to your day-to-day business.

The idea behind it is simple: we want you to be able to find information on a wide range of topics and discover quick solutions, without needing to rely on personal advice. Particularly when it comes to technical queries, you can often find what you’re looking for here in just a few minutes, even at the weekend or outside our business hours.

The Help Centre is not a replacement for personal contact – it complements it. If you cannot find an answer here, we are still here to help. And it is not a static reference guide: we are constantly expanding and improving the articles.

This guide shows you how to make the most of the Help Centre – using the search function, the AI assistant and the topic categories – and how the articles are structured.

The quickest way: the search function

At the top of the Help Centre, you’ll find a search function. This is usually the quickest way to find what you’re looking for. You can enter individual keywords or even type in full questions – the Help Centre will then show you the articles that cover the topic.

If you’re not sure where to start, the search function is always a good first step. Simply type in what you’d like to know and have a look at the results.

Feel free to type in a full question, not just individual words. A query such as ‘How do I upload a receipt?’ will often lead you more directly to the relevant article than a single search term.

The AI assistant for complex questions

For questions that span several topics, there’s an AI assistant. You can open it via the question box at the top of the Help Centre. There, you can not only search for keywords but also ask more complex questions.

The assistant searches through all the content in the Help Centre, compiles the relevant answer and provides you with the sources. This means you can jump straight to the relevant article at any time and read it at your leisure. The content of our videos is also searchable, as the assistant accesses their transcripts – even if something is only mentioned in a video, you can find it via the search function.

A handy bonus: the assistant suggests relevant follow-up questions. This helps you explore aspects arising from your original question and build up a solid understanding step by step.

For example: in response to the question “How do I set up a financial accounting process based on DATEV Unternehmen online?”, the assistant compiles the individual steps from several articles and links them together – even if no single page deals with this exact question.

Browse by topic

If you prefer to browse, use the topic sections on the left-hand side. There, the articles are organised by subject area – for example, by software solutions and specialist topics.

This allows you to get an overview of the available content and familiarise yourself with a topic without having a specific question in mind.

How the articles are structured

Whether you arrive via the search function or the topic sections, the articles are always structured in a similar way so that you can find your way around quickly.

  • Table of contents: On the right-hand side, you can jump straight to the sections that interest you.
  • Detailed explanations: We explain things as simply as possible, using text, information boxes and step-by-step guides.
  • Screenshots and videos: Where it helps, images and videos show you how to navigate a programme or set up an app.
  • Links: We cover extensive topics in separate articles and provide links to them, so you can delve deeper without losing track of the bigger picture.

So you don’t have to read an article from start to finish – use the table of contents to jump straight to the section that answers your question.

If you get stuck

The Help Centre covers many topics, but not every question can be answered in general terms. If you get stuck here, please feel free to contact your personal point of contact at our company. We’ll help you directly with any individual queries.

Our suggestion: Make the Help Centre your first port of call, and if that doesn’t get you where you need to go, please get in touch with us. That way, you’ll find many answers straight away and have a point of contact for any remaining questions.

Is there a topic missing from the Help Centre? Let us know. If there’s an article missing that would help you, we’ll be happy to create it – the Help Centre grows with your suggestions.
